Pests and Diseases

Fungal diseases like Phytopthora are casing increasing damage to UK gardens. The disease has spread from predominantly West coast gardens situations to generally all over the country now.

Pests like vine weevils have always been an issue, but generally controllable. Now we are seeing a dreaded scaly bug that sucks on the sap and causes a dark soot to suffocate and eventually kill the plants. Many gardens are appearing to be finding this pest that is having devastating consequences on our rhododendrons and many other plants and trees.
